The sounds and visual effects are impeccable, not to mention the shibuya punk atmosphere.
Hey, awesome game! Here is my feedback.
Pros:
- Solid music
- Solid visuals, at least so far
- Interesting abilities
- Good level design
- Challenging enemies where you balance your offensive powers and HP as the same resource
Cons:
- The Camera needs work. Almost immediately I found myself having difficulty seeing certain elements of the level (Some areas I thought were pitfalls turned out not to be) and when I went to the dot-bounce obstacle the camera refused to follow me in a way that would allow me to see where I was going. On multiple tests it has something to do with how it reacts to you bouncing in the first place.
- I would recommend having quick-throw and retrieve the bat be the same button. It would feel more fluid to have a fast send out and retrieve button for situations where you need to emergency-maneuver.
- The charge for the longer ranged bat throw is twice as long as I expected. I would recommend shortening it so you can use it more often on the fly (but not too short so it interferes with your regular attacks).
All in all, solid demo, looking forward to seeing more!
